Internationalising the curriculum
Suggested Strategies
A curriculum that successfully emphasises internationalisation includes a wide range of teaching & learning activities. The following activities are not exhaustive but do provide some areas to think about when developing the international content of your course/unit.

- Contact/involvement with local migrant communities.

- Assignments which focus on current or historical international issues.
- Critique of international literature.
- Investigation of international practice.
- Simulation of international interactions, including where possible intercultural issues.
- Comparison of local and international standards within the discipline/professional area.
- Tasks which ask students to reflect on their own culture and/or engage with other cultures.
- Group tasks where members are from different cultures.
- Optional study abroad/exchange program.
- Optional language/cultural studies as a minor.
- Access to elective subjects which are global in focus.
- Internet activities including searches and communication tools.
- Discussion board utilising overseas guest as moderator/expert.
